First we drove to a nearby business center to make copies. It was interesting to talk with the local lady who worked at the store. She said the Ulalena show we are going to on Thursday is really good. She takes her kids. So if the locals like it, it must be good.
After making copies, we returned to the hotel to assemble the gifts bags for the conference attendees. We formed an assembly line. At first we were doing one bag at a time, but then Renea got smart and started doing two at a time. (She wanted to finish quickly and get out in the sun.) Dennis made up several different systems. All together I think his contribution could be counted on one hand.

Apparently it was hard work for Dennis.

After work, we headed to the pool. We met a honeymooning couple from L.A. and gushed that they should go to Mama’s Fish House. They took our advice and made reservations. Hopefully we’ll see them around the hotel to see if they enjoyed it.
As Renea lay by the pool, I decided to walk down to the beach. I watched the boogie boarders and then wandered over to the rocks and watched some black crabs.
Then I took a nap! We’re still very tired.
After my nap (Renea couldn’t sleep because her right ear has been clogged and hurting her) we had to take a trip to Office Max. On the way back, we decided we should visit an Urgent Care Center because Renea’s ear was really bothering her.

The front desk gal at the Urgent Care used to work a Longs Drugs and had lots of stories about serving celebrities who were visiting Maui – such as Brittney Spears (bad acne), Avril Lavigne (very nice) and Julie Andrews (she didn’t know who she was).
Renea has an issue with earwax build up. About once a year she needs to get them flushed out. The doctor could not see her ear canal because of the wax. So he needed to flush them out. The doctor was a typical Maui doctor. He was tan and very laid back. But as he began to pull giant globs of earwax out of Rena’s ear, he was getting grossed out. It was so funny. Doctors aren’t supposed to get grossed out.
Our hotel is very full so the staff asked if Barbara and Dennis would mind moving into one of the two-bedroom beachfront villas. We joke that they were downgraded to a villa. They went out to dinner so Renea and I hung out at their villa for the evening. We did our laundry, ordered room service, and played cards to the sound of crashing waves.
