It’s a good thing we took our walk early because a huge storm was about to hit Hawaii. It rained all day; at times it really came down.

At 10:00 a.m. we went to help staff the Hospitality Suite and begin registering the conference attendees.
After a few hours, I came back to the room to blog and watch some of the Patriots vs. Colts game.
Hey kids, does this photo of dad look familiar?

Renea and I then went to Longs Drugs to pick up Renea’s medicine for her ear infection. We also bought a gift for Sidnie and Harrison! They’ll have to wait and see what we got them. We also discovered that our rent-a-wreck mini-van leaks water on the driver when it rains.
We returned to the hotel to work the Hospitality Suite until about 4:00 p.m. The opening reception began at 5:00 p.m. Our special guest speaker was Hawaii’s Lt. Governor Duke Aiona. He is a Christian. He has a program where he tries to teach character in the public schools. He hands out these cards with different good character traits and the benefits on one side, and bad character traits and the negative outcome on the other side. He calls it the Aloha Spirit, but privately he told Renea and I that it is another way of teaching the spirit of Christ.
